Improve Nutritional Uptake

Better mineral absorption for enhanced enzyme function with Magnation's bioavailable water.

Water has a central role in the processes surrounding two fundamental ingredients for our body to function: enzymes and minerals. Drinking healthy water supports your goal of improving and maintaining wellness by making it easier to absorb nutrients and minerals and for supporting the function of enzymes.

Enzymes are molecules, usually proteins, that accelerate biochemical reactions. Enzymes are found both inside and outside our cells. They need partners or co-enzymes, which are vitamins and minerals. Without the co-factors, enzymes remain inactive. Once active, the enzymes catalyze biochemical reactions that would otherwise take a long time to occur naturally. Once they react, the enzymes then typically recycle themselves and become inactive again, waiting for that special co-enzyme.

Enzymes run the digestive system, the nervous system, form muscles and are vital to nerve function, and more. We use enzymes found in our saliva, for example, to begin the digestive process by breaking down our food as we chew. Our bodies make some enzymes and others we absorb from foods we eat.

Our body depends on enzymes, which in turn depend on minerals. Minerals act as coenzymes, but that is only part of their job description.

The need for minerals in our body is extensive. Much like water, we are constantly using minerals, therefore we are constantly losing them. The problem is that minerals aren’t as easy to replenish as simply drinking water, which leads many of us to be mineral deficient.

Unlike enzymes, our bodies don’t produce minerals. They come from the earth and we absorb minerals from our food, hopefully. Eating for nutrition (rather than solely for enjoyment) is an important way to replenish these essential minerals and other vitamins that among other things also act as co-enzymes.

Macro minerals, like calcium, are minerals that we have in large amounts and so we need to replenish them in large amounts. Micro or trace minerals, like iron, are minerals that we have and need in trace amounts. Don’t confuse amount with importance—minerals are fundamental to our body and all of our functions.

Macro Minerals

  • Calcium
  • Magnesium
  • Sodium
  • Potassium
  • Phosphorus
  • Chloride
  • Sulfur

Micro or Trace Minerals

  • Iron
  • Zinc
  • Manganese
  • Copper
  • Iodine
  • Cobalt
  • Fluoride
  • Selenium

In the same way that drinking more water won’t necessarily result in optimal hydration, consuming more minerals or more of one mineral won’t always counter mineral deficiency. This is why increasing our calcium intake doesn’t always or even usually reverse osteoporosis, even though osteoporosis results from calcium deficiency. The body’s ability to absorb and use minerals depends on other factors including the body’s pH balance, other minerals that work together (like how calcium works with magnesium), and of course, hydration.

Minerals need water to make make their way around the body, so when our bodies are optimally hydrated, our mineral intake is also more efficient. An increased mineral uptake will pan out into a more efficient enzyme activation. It’s a beautiful cycle that we want running as well as possible, even if we can’t see it happening!

Drinking magnetized water (polarized water) means you are drinking water that is more bioavailable, which means it can get down to business doing all the things water does. Magnetized water doesn’t need extra help from your body to break down the water molecule—it is already in its smallest form. When you drink healthy water, all the functions that depend on it are better supported.

Eating for nutrition makes more sense when you are also drinking for nutrition.
